Planning Commission Vacancy

Tabor Dahl’s departure leaves a vacancy on the Planning Commission to fill out the remainder of his term, and potentially beyond.

Job Description for Planning Commissioners:

– Attend the monthly regular meeting (currently, 2nd Thursday of each month), and participate in additional work meetings or training sessions as required.
– Work with other Planning Commissioners to arrive at well-considered decisions:

  • Make administrative decisions on conditional use applications.
  • Evaluate subdivision applications based on understanding of the General Plan and ordinances
  • Evaluate requested changes to ordinances and/or General Plan
  • Be prepared to do research on specific topics, as needed

All commissioners need to send/receive email, file attachments, and to use the internet.
The ability to conduct small group meetings and future commission meetings is a consideration.

Please respond in writing or by email to Mayor Steve Cox, Town Clerk Judi Davis, or Planning Commission Clerk Peg Smith by Monday, October 29, and plan to be at the next Town Council meeting Thursday, November 1 to explain why you are interested and what you hope to accomplish during your term on the Commission.

Applicants are appointed by the mayor, with the advice and consent of town council.
